The information in this summary summarises some of your key rights. It is not intended to replace the contract below, which you should read carefully.

1. About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions explain how you can buy products from With Reference® through our website. Please read them carefully before placing an order. By placing an order, you agree that these Terms form a legally binding contract between you and With Reference®.

These Terms apply together with any other terms shown on our website, including product-specific information, delivery information, and our Privacy and Cookies Policy. If we update these Terms, the version that applies to your order will normally be the version in force when you placed that order.

2. Website use, content and linking

By using the With Reference® website, you agree to use it lawfully and in line with these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

We may use cookies to operate the website, improve your experience, and support analytics or marketing. Essential cookies may be used without consent; optional cookies can be accepted or rejected.

Unless stated otherwise, With Reference® or its licencors own the website content. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes only and must not copy, sell, reproduce, redistribute, or exploit it without permission.

If the website allows comments, reviews, or other user content, you are responsible for what you post. We may edit or remove content that we consider inappropriate, unlawful, offensive, misleading, or in breach of these Terms.

By posting user content, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break the law. You grant With Reference® a non-exclusive licence to use, edit, reproduce, and display that content in connection with the website and our business.

You may link to our website only where the link is fair, lawful, not misleading, and does not suggest endorsement or approval by With Reference®. You must not use our logo, branding, or artwork without permission.

We are not responsible for third-party websites that link to us or that we link to. We may ask for any link to our website to be removed and may change our linking policy at any time.

If you find a link on our website that you consider inappropriate, please contact us. We will review the request but are not obliged to remove the link or respond directly.

We aim to keep the website accurate, available, and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it will always be error-free, complete, current, or uninterrupted.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude warranties relating to the website and its use. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be excluded.

3. About us and how to contact us

With Reference® is operated as a sole trader business. If you have any questions about these Terms, your order, a return, or a product issue, please contact us by email at contactus@withreference.store.

When contacting us, please include your name, order number, the email address used for the order, and a short description of your query so we can help you more quickly.

4. Who can buy from us

You may place an order through our website if you are buying as a consumer for personal use and you can provide accurate order, delivery, and payment information.

If you are under 18, you may use the website and place an order only with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian. The parent, guardian, or cardholder is responsible for the purchase.

5. Products and product information

We try to make sure that product descriptions, prices, images, measurements, colours, and availability information are accurate and up to date. However, small differences may occur because of screen settings, product materials, printing processes, fulfilment methods, packaging, or supplier availability.

All products must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

6. Placing an order

You place an order by completing the website checkout process and submitting payment details. After you place an order, we may send an order acknowledgement to confirm that we have received it. This acknowledgement does not mean that your order has been accepted.

Your order is accepted, and the contract between you and With Reference® is formed, only when we send you a Confirmation Email. If we cannot accept your order, we will let you know and, where payment has already been taken, arrange a refund.

We may refuse or cancel an order where, for example, a product is unavailable, payment is not authorised, there is an error in the price or product description, the order appears unusual or excessive, the delivery address is incomplete, or a fulfilment supplier cannot complete the order.

7. Customised, personalised, or made-to-order products

Some products may be customised, personalised, bespoke, tailored, printed on demand, or otherwise made specifically for you. Please check all personalisation, size, colour, design, spelling, and delivery details carefully before placing your order.

Once fulfilment, production, printing, or customisation has started, we may not be able to cancel or change the order unless the product is faulty, not as described, or we agree otherwise in writing.

8. Prices, payment, and taxes

Prices are shown in GBP (£). Prices include UK VAT where applicable but do not include delivery charges unless this is clearly stated. Delivery charges and any other applicable costs will be shown before you complete your order.

We may accept payment methods such as Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Afterpay, and Revolut, depending on what is available at checkout. We do not accept cash or cheques for website orders.

If you use a third-party payment provider, finance provider, or buy-now-pay-later provider, that provider’s own terms may also apply. We are not responsible for their separate terms, decisions, fees, or account requirements.

9. Delivery

We currently deliver only within the United Kingdom. Delivery will be carried out by third-party logistics partners, postal services, couriers, and/or print fulfilment suppliers.

Estimated delivery dates or timeframes will be shown at checkout or in your Confirmation Email. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless we expressly say otherwise. If we become aware of a significant delay, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.

If delivery cannot be completed within 30 days, we will contact you. Unless you agree to a later delivery date, we will cancel the order and refund any sums paid for the undelivered products.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. If a parcel is returned, unclaimed, refused, or cannot be delivered because the address is incomplete or incorrect, we may ask you to pay reasonable re-delivery or reshipment costs.

10. Your right to cancel

For most online purchases, you may have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days after receiving the goods without giving a reason. If your order is delivered in separate parcels, the cancellation period may run from the day you receive the final parcel.

To cancel, email us at contactus@withreference.store with your name, order number, and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

The right to cancel does not apply to certain products, including personalised or custom-made items, products made to your specification, perishable products, sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once opened, and other products excluded by law.

If cancellation rights apply, you must return the goods within 14 days after telling us you wish to cancel. Unless we state otherwise or the goods are faulty, you are responsible for the cost of returning them.

11. Refunds after cancellation

Where you validly cancel an order and return any goods as required, we will refund the price paid for the cancelled goods and the standard delivery cost where required by law. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we may refund only the cost of the standard delivery option.

We may reduce your refund if the goods have been handled more than necessary to check their nature, characteristics, and functioning, or if they are returned damaged or incomplete.

Refunds will usually be made to the original payment method unless we agree otherwise. We will process refunds within 14 days after receiving the returned goods, receiving evidence that you have sent them back, or receiving your cancellation notice where no goods were supplied.

12. Returns process

Please contact us before sending anything back. This helps us confirm whether the item can be returned, where it should be sent, and what information should be included with the return.

Returned products should be suitably packaged and, where possible, returned with any original packaging, labels, accessories, and order information. We recommend keeping proof of postage or tracking until the return has been completed.

13. Faulty, damaged, or incorrect products

If a product is faulty, damaged, misprinted, defective, missing parts, or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible at contactus@withreference.store. Include your order number, a description of the problem, and clear photos where helpful.

For misprinted, damaged, or defective items, please contact us within 4 weeks of receiving the product so that we can investigate with our fulfilment partners.

Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, we may offer a repair, replacement, refund, or other appropriate remedy. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

14. Substitutions

If a product or component is unavailable, we may offer or provide a substitute of equal or better standard or value where reasonable. If we offer a substitute and you do not want it, you may reject it and request a refund or replacement where available.

15. Privacy and personal information

We will handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy and Cookies Policy. That policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and the rights you may have.

16. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your statutory rights, or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to the above, our total liability for any claim connected with an order will not exceed 100% of the amount you paid for that order.

17. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform our obligations if this is caused by events outside our reasonable control. This may include postal disruption, courier delays, supplier issues, technology failures, extreme weather, strikes, illness, public emergencies, or changes in law.

If such an event affects your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take steps to minimise the impact. If there is a risk of substantial delay, you may contact us to cancel the affected order and receive a refund for products not received.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will apply to future orders only, unless the law requires otherwise or we agree something different with you.

19. Complaints and disputes

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at contactus@withreference.store. We will try to resolve the issue fairly and as quickly as reasonably possible.

If we cannot resolve the matter directly, you may have the right to use alternative dispute resolution or bring a claim through the courts.

20. Governing law and courts

These Terms and any contract between you and With Reference® are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you will still have the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

The courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, which means you may also be able to bring proceedings in the courts of the UK country where you live.
